Venues & Facilities

Oberon Council owns and manages a number of venues for hire, sporting and recreational facilities along with an array of parks within the Oberon LGA. The online booking form can be found at the bottom of this page. 

Public Toilet locations: The National Public Toilet Map shows the location of more than 19,000 public and private public facilities across Australia, including toilets, adult change and baby care. Information is provided about each toilet, such as location, accessibility details, opening hours and features like sharps disposal and showers.

Black Springs Community Hall

This hall is available for hire for community and social events.

Apex Park

Apex Park is located on the corner of Carrington Avenue and Rupert Street.

Black Springs Recreation Ground

The Black Springs Recreation Ground is a multi-purpose sporting ground located opposite the Forestry Reserve camping area on Abercrombie Rd, Black Springs.

Cunynghame Oval

Facilities include cricket pitch, children's playground, water fountain, shelter and picnic table.

Leagues Club Grounds

These facilities are used for training local teams as well as special events throughout the year.

Netball and Hockey Facilities

Facilities include three netball courts and toilets as well as a grass hockey field.

Oberon Recreation Ground

The Oberon Recreation Ground is a multi-purpose sporting ground, located next to the Oberon Swimming Pool on Cunynghame Street.

The Oberon Common

The Common Park is ideally situated in a central location between The National Parks & Wildlife Office and The Oberon Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Ross Street and Edith Road.

Hassall Park O'Connell

Hassall Park is a popular Picnic area on the Fish River at O'Connell. This area is just outside of the village of O'Connell.

Herb David Park

Herb David park is a popular park amongst locals and visitors alike. Herb David park provides adequate shade with the installation of a shade sale in 2021.

Oberon Dam

Oberon Dam facilities include toilets with lights, children's playground, gas and wood BBQs, shelter, water, picnic tables, grass areas, shade and bins.

Please note that this facility is managed by State Water, not Oberon Council.

Places of Pride - War Memorial search

Every town, every memorial.

Places of Pride, is the National Register of War Memorials, which is an Australian War Memorial initiative to record the location and photos of every war memorial across the country.

Smaller Parks and Playgrounds

There are a small number of smaller parks and playgrounds located in Buckley Crescent, Bligh Street and Glywndr Avenue.
