The Oberon Common

The Common Park is ideally situated in a central location between The National Parks & Wildlife Office and The Oberon Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Ross Street and Edith Road.  The park features a rotunda overlooking a water feature, and series of ponds and wetlands which is home to a large number of bird species including water fowl. There are two free BBQ facilities, with tables and shelter, a children's playground, an adventure playgound, toilet facilities, and walking and cycling trails. A number of pieces of static exercise equipment are ideally located along the walking and cycling trails throughout the park.  The Common is an ideal location for family activities and there is plenty of parking available.

The Oberon Arts Council has partnered with Oberon Council on several community art projects in The Common. The Terrazzo Tapestries are a unique feature on the Gazebo floor and depict the Oberon Community Bicentenary Tapestries. Heritage Walls tracing Oberon's pioneering heritage are located above the Gazebo. The most recent project is the completion of a mural and community designed "Mosaic Bullocks" on the exterior of the Toilet Block.
