Great Western Highway at Coxs River Road, Little Hartley

Transport for NSW (Transport) will be carrying out construction works at Little Hartley for the Coxs River Road Section, as part of the Great Western Highway Upgrade Program.
Contractors for Transport will carry out the work, which will upgrade about 2.4 kilometres of the existing highway at Little Hartley to create a four-lane divided carriageway. The upgrade includes a new interchange at Coxs River Road that will carry local traffic safely over the highway and a realignment of a short section of existing highway to create a new service road. Finally, upgrades to the intersections with Browns Gap Road and Baaners Lane will also form part of these works.
We will be working between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays. We expect to complete this section of works in mid 2025, weather permitting. We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these times.
How will the work affect you?
The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by arranging the work in stages and turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
We will continue to keep you informed as planning on the project progresses.
Traffic changes
There will be some traffic changes during this time to ensure the work zone is safe which may include speed zone changes and temporary traffic control. We will notify you of these traffic changes as they occur.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
