Celebrating Local Government Week 2025
Published on 06 August 2025
This week (4–10 August 2025) marks Local Government Week 2025, an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the essential role councils play in shaping, supporting, and strengthening our communities.
At Oberon Council, we’re proud to serve our residents through a wide range of services and infrastructure, from roads, waste and water to parks, libraries, community engagement and beyond.
Local Government Week is also a chance to acknowledge the hardworking staff, Councillors and volunteers who work collaboratively and are dedicated to making Oberon a great place to live, work and visit. Every day, behind the scenes and on the ground, our team is working to deliver meaningful outcomes for our community, both now and into the future.
We’d like to thank our residents for your ongoing support, feedback and involvement. Whether you’re reporting a pothole, attending a Council meeting, taking part in a consultation or just enjoying the services and facilities on offer, you’re part of the story.
Happy Local Government Week!
