As part of Oberon Councils IT transformation, Council has installed a new Enterprise Management System (EMS). Staff have diligently worked with suppliers and related stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition, with the 2023-24 rates levied on the new system.
Some minor mapping errors have been highlighted during the process and the below is provided for your information.
Land Area on Rates Notices Incorrect
The Rates Notices for the 2023-24 financial year were distributed to all rate payers in the local government area on 1 August 2023. If you have not received your Rates Notice please contact Council on (02) 6329 8100.
Upon receipt of the notices, some residents may notice differing land area figures. This has occurred during the data migration process. This field is for information only and does not impact the calculation of the rates levied and will be corrected in future rates notices.
Water Rates Delay
Council has previously advised that there has been a delay in the distribution of the quarterly water rates notices due to a system migration issue. This has now been rectified and all unissued Water Rates Notices will be posted within the next week. To ensure that residents are not impacted by this delay, the due date for payments has been extended to 30 November 2023. Council would like to advise this error will not result in interest payable during this period of time. If you have any questions or concerns when you receive your water rates notice, please contact Council on (02) 6329 8100.
Council thanks you again for your patience during this transition time and encourages you to contact Council if you have any further questions or concerns.
