Sydney Writers Festival - Live & Local 2024

Sydney Writers’ Festival is Australia’s largest celebration of books and ideas, bringing the world’s finest authors and esteemed thinkers together for insightful and exhilarating conversations and discussions.

The Sydney Writers’ Festival Live & Local program offers a free live stream of Festival sessions to libraries and community centres across regional Australia to share directly with their audiences. 

Oberon Library will be live streaming from the Live & Local programs across all four days of the festival for free.

     7.30 - 8.30 pm: Sebastian Barry: Old God's time

Sunday 26 May 

     10 - 11am: Barrie Cassidy and friends: State of the nation

     5.30 - 6.30pm: Closing address: Kate Manne on the future of misogyny
