Local Government Week 2026

This year Local Government Week is celebrated from Monday 3 August to Sunday 9 August by local government across NSW to showcase and celebrate the services, facilities and people who help make our communities great places to live, work and play. 

Throughout the week, Oberon Council will be showcasing the ways local government supports our community every day. From maintaining roads and public spaces to managing community facilities, supporting recreation opportunities and delivering services that help our region thrive. 

We invite the community to join us as we celebrate Local Government Week through a range of activities. 

 

Community Services Expo

 Thursday, 6 August 2026

The annual Community Services Expo brings together local services, community groups, government agencies, sporting clubs and volunteer organisations that help support the Oberon community.

The Expo is a fantastic opportunity to discover what services, programs and groups are available in our region and connect with the people who help make our community strong and vibrant.

Children are invited to colour one of our specially designed Local Government Week colouring pages, each featuring different aspects of the services and facilities provided by Council.
