Youth Week 2014 Disco a huge success

Oberon Youth Council held their first event in celebration of Youth Week 2014 on Friday 4 April 2014 at the Oberon RSL Club.

The Talent Quest revealed some fantastic young performers within the Oberon community; well done to all entrants who took part. The judges did a great job offering their expertise on the night.

Congratulations to Maddie Pincott and Shannon Foley on taking out First place, Jessie Parkin taking Second place and Keely and Bailey Armstrong on taking Third place.

Thank you to the local businesses who kindly donated prize money for the evening - Barkers Butchery, Monkey Bean Café, Mawhoods IGA, Foodworks, Café Savanna and K & S Livestock.

A Disco followed on from the Talent Quest with LED flash gear making a terrific sight on the dance floor and a photo booth proving great amusement throughout the night.

Thanks to everyone who came along and special thanks to the Oberon RSL Club who kindly donated the use of the auditorium for the evening.

Oberon Youth Council put in an enormous amount of time and effort to make their first event in Oberon a wonderful success. We look forward to many more exciting events in the near future.
