Yesterday afternoon we were informed that the appeal lodged by Woollahra Council against the amalgamation of them with Waverley and Randwick had been dismissed by the NSW Court of Appeal. The Minister last night extended his undertaking not to proclaim our merge until after 5.00pm 10 January 2017. This extension enables us to lodge our appeal as was resolved at Councils December Ordinary Meeting. At the same time Cabonne also resolved to appeal its decision meaning costs can be shared by both parties in the appeal proceedings. We are currently awaiting advice from our legal advisors and will endeavour to keep the community posted on any further advances.
