COVID–19 OBERON COUNCIL UPDATE - 29 May 2020

Further to the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions under the NSW Public Health Order, Oberon Council will implement the next stage of its reactivation from Monday 1 June 2020. This includes re-opening the Administration Centre to the public during normal hours 5 days a week and opening of both the Library and Visitor Information Centre (VIC) under modified operating hours and strict social distancing and hygiene requirements.

Aerial Fox Baiting at Jenolan for Bush-tailed Rock-Wallaby Conservation

NSW Government Blue Mountains Branch National Parks & Wildlife Service wish to advise that an aerial fox baiting program using 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) will be conducted in parts of Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve and Kanangra-Boyd National Park commencing Monday 1 June 2020.
 

Western NSW Local Health District COVID-19 Update - 20 May 2020

Thursday 21 May 2020
As of 10.00am Wednesday 20 May, the Western NSW Local Health District has 45 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
 
The one new case is from someone who has returned from overseas and is in isolation in a hotel in Sydney. 
 
One WNSWLHD case has been determined to be a false/positive result and removed from the total case count. 
 

COVID–19 UPDATE AND REACTIVATION PLAN

In response to the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions under the NSW Public Health Order, Oberon Council will commence its staged reactivation from Monday 25 May 2020. To allow face to face transactions and ensuring Council meets its social distancing requirements a booking system will be implemented in the initial stage.

Oberon Showground Land Manager (Vacancy)

The Minister for Water, Property and Housing is seeking nominations for board appointments to the Oberon Showground Land Manager. Appointments are for up to 5 years and are voluntary. It is expected that members of the board live within or close to the reserve.
