KERBSIDE BULKY WASTE COLLECTION 25-28 OCTOBER 2021

Oberon Council will be conducting its annual Kerbside Bulky Waste Collection for residential properties in Oberon that currently receive a weekly domestic rubbish collection service.
The collection will be split up into 2 areas: West and East.

Good to hear that for the second day in a row there are no new active cases of COVID in the community, so the total number of cases remains at 27. The Drive Through Testing Unit in Albion Street took 224 swabs today, well done everyone. Tomorrow (Wednesday) drive through testing will continue from 10am - 2pm.

190 tests today Sunday October 3 - thank you. As of today Oberon has recorded a total of 27 positive COVID cases. With numbers increasing we can not let down our guard. The Testing Unit will be open tomorrow (Monday) from 10am - 1pm and PLEASE NOTE Tuesday from 10am - 4pm. Our amazing MPS staff supported by visiting health workers, council staff and by volunteers, continue to put in the hard yards…Thank you.

COVID EXPOSURE SITE

Oberon Council has been made aware that the Service NSW Council Agency (Council Foyer) has been identified as a Covid exposure site.
 
The date of exposure is Wednesday 29 September 2021 between 12.35pm – 1.00pm.
 
Council Staff who were in this area are considered to be casual contacts and are following NSW Health protocol.

Oberon now has 19 active cases of COVID, the good news is that testing numbers continue to be good with 329 swabs taken today bringing the total tests since the drive through unit was set up to 2197…thank you Oberon. We are grateful to the RFS, SES and Oberon Rotary for stepping up today to assist.

Thank you so much Oberon - long queues at the Testing Unit in Albion street again today, an amazing 392 tests were carried out. I know I say it almost every day but I cannot thank our health professionals enough. I also thank the RFS volunteers who took over from the SES today and worked in appalling conditions - your assistance is appreciated.

As a result of the re-introduction of Stay at Home orders announced by the NSW State Government, Oberon Council advises that the Council Administration Centre, Visitor Information Centre, Library and all community facilities will be closed while the NSW Government’s Stay at Home orders are in place for the Oberon Local Government Area.
