OBERON COUNCIL REVISED SERVICES DUE TO COVID-19

To respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have temporarily changed the way we are delivering services to the community to support the Federal and State Government measures to reduce the spread of the virus in the community. A number of our services are closed to face-to-face contact.

Emergency closure of Jenolan Caves Road weekend 3/04/20-6/04/20.
 
fNSW will be closing the 2 Mile section of Jenolan Caves Road due to possible slope failure resulting from 98mm rain received overnight.   Note that the 5 Mile section of Jenolan Caves Road remains closed as well. Road will be re-assessed by Geotechnical Professional Monday morning and provided safe to do so, re-opened.

The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) advises an end to the statutory Bush Fire Danger Period (BFDP) within the Chifley/Lithgow Team area.

COVID RESPONSE ACTIONS - OBERON COUNCIL

Yesterday Oberon Council took the precaution to isolate (through the Government self isolation requirements) the depot staff. As one of the crew had indicated that they were in self isolation as there was potential that a family member had been in contact with someone who also had the potential of having the Covid-19 virus.
