Upper Macquarie County Council currently has positions available within its workforce. The Weeds Biosecurity Officer position involves inspection of properties for weed biosecurity risks, liaising with landholders to ensure enforcement obligations are fulfilled, occasional spraying of weeds and supervision of spraying contractors. Some weekend work may be required.
Applicants will need to demonstrate knowledge of weed threats and control measures, ability to use electronic mapping to record inspections and ability to liaise with landholders to negotiate results focused outcomes.
