YMCA NSW (The Y) is excited to have been awarded a 12-month contract to operate the Oberon Swimming Pool and new Fitness Centre, which is under construction and planned to open in the coming months.   
 

Albion St temporary road closure 04/09/2019 until approx. 1pm

Albion St will be closed this morning 4/9/2019 until approximately 1pm, from the intersection of O'Connell Rd and Albion St to the entrance of Gate 2 of Borg. This is to allow road repair work to take place. Detours are in place. Please refer to the attached traffic control plan. Council apologies for the short notice and any inconvenience caused.

Oberon Council Mayor, Councillor Kathy Sajowitz, and State Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole MP welcomed Ms Laurel Hawken and Mr Gary Peyton to the Australian family when they took the Australian Citizenship Pledge at an Australian citizenship ceremony held at the Council Chambers this afternoon.

An enjoyable afternoon was had by all who went along to the Accidental Ensemble performance “Baby Its Cold Outside” last weekend. Funds raised at the event were donated to both the Tarana Red Cross and the Oberon Writers Group so a double benefit. Congratulations also to The Oberon Tigers who through their Can Assist Round last Sunday raised approx.
