The Jenolan Caves Historical & Preservation Society needs your vote! The Society has been nominated for an Essential Energy Community Choices Program Grant and if successful the funds will be used to cover costs to move the archive collection which is offsite due to the Five Mile Road closure, floods & COVID-19 restrictions - and they need to pay removalists to return them.

COVID AWARENESS TRAINING FOR FOOD SERVICES

The NSW Food Authority has partnered with NSW Health to develop COVID-19 awareness for food service, which is a free, voluntary online training course to support food businesses in providing a COVID safe environment. The course includes key advice, links to relevant resources and has a quiz at the end. An acknowledgement certificate is generated on completion of the course.
 

SNOW AND ICE ROAD CLOSURES-UPDATE 2 JUNE 2020 - 7.47AM

Road inspections have been carried out in the Oberon Local Government Area.  All roads in the Local Government Area remain open. 

Council staff are out and about this morning inspecting roads, there has been a light dusting of snow in Black Springs. 

Motorist are advised to use extreme caution and drive to the conditions.

If your small business or non-profit organisation has experienced a significant decline in revenue as a result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for a small business support grant of up to $10,000.

We are undertaking an assessment of the municipalities 1060km network of sealed and unsealed roads.  Inspection work will begin Monday 15 June and take three weeks to complete.

COVID–19 OBERON COUNCIL UPDATE - 29 May 2020

Further to the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions under the NSW Public Health Order, Oberon Council will implement the next stage of its reactivation from Monday 1 June 2020. This includes re-opening the Administration Centre to the public during normal hours 5 days a week and opening of both the Library and Visitor Information Centre (VIC) under modified operating hours and strict social distancing and hygiene requirements.
