Following the detection of Covid virus fragments in samples take from the Oberon Sewage Treatment plant on 20 September 2021 a drive through testing clinic has been established at 27 - 29 Albion Street, Oberon commencing from 11.00am today 22 September 2021.
There has been no prior detection of virus fragments in sewage samples taken from Oberon and there have been no known cases of COVID-19 in the Oberon Local Government Area.
Testing is free and no appointment or referral is required. All ages are welcome.
We are encouraging everyone to come forward for testing and re-testing. Widespread, sustained testing is crucial to ensuring we keep our communities safe.
The drive-through testing site will operate from 11am to 4pm on Wednesday 22 September. It will continue to operate from 10am to 4pm on Thursday and Friday.
Symptoms associated with COVID-19 include fever, cough, breathing difficulties, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, runny nose, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and fatigue.
