Media Release: Council trip to Millthorpe Markets
Release Date: Thursday 8 August 2013
Oberon Council are organising a community bus trip to the Millthorpe Markets on Sunday 01 December 2013.
The bus trip has been made possible as part of the funding support received from Transport NSW to assist with Transport Disadvantaged Community members/groups in Oberon.
The bus will leave directly from behind the Council building at 8.30am on the Sunday morning and will return to Council in the afternoon.
The markets, which have been running since 2005, are hosted by the Millthorpe Public School P&C Committee, with all funds raised assisting to purchase ongoing educational tools for the School.
The markets are well established and are very popular throughout the region. Everything from clothing, jewellery, toys, arts & crafts, woodwork, second hand goods, gourmet & fresh produce, cake stalls, plants and Christmas decorations are available. There is also plenty to keep the children amused.
The bus trip to the Millthorpe Markets is $10.00 per person and everyone is welcome to attend. You will need to book and pay for your spot at Council by Friday 01 November 2013.
Entry to the markets is by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the Millthorpe Public School P & C.
Council will require a minimum of 30 people for trip to go ahead, so be sure to organise your friends and family for this superb day out in Millthorpe.
