Council Kerbside Waste Collection

Release Date: Thursday 17 July 2014
Kerbside Bulky Waste Collection

Oberon Council is excited to announce a Kerbside Waste Collection on Monday 25 August 2014. The Kerbside Collection will be conducted for urban residents who currently receive a weekly rubbish collection service.

Prior to Monday 25 August, residents can place their whitegoods, furniture, small car parts, hot water services, bagged and boxed items on the kerbside for collection. Please make sure items can be easily lifted by two people.

The service will not include glass, hazardous waste, motor vehicle parts, gas bottles, building materials, garden (green) waste and food scraps. Council will collect a maximum of two cubic metres or one box trailer load of waste per household.

This wonderful new service has been announced in response to feedback received at community consultation sessions during the Oberon CSP process. It will provide an efficient and convenient way for residents to dispose of bulky waste items.
