ANZAC Day 2017 Commemoration events - Tuesday 25 April 2017

ANZAC Day Commemoration will be held at the Oberon RSL Sub Branch on Tuesday 25 April 2017. A Dawn Service will commence at 5.45am for a 5.50am ceremony followed by breakfast at the Oberon RSL Club. 

The ANZAC Day March will commencing at 10.30am departing from the front of the Oberon Council building in Oberon Street proceeding to the Oberon RSL Sub-branch Museum for a Wreath Laying Ceremony. Following the conclusion of the Wreath Laying Ceremony a Commemorative Service will be held in the Oberon RSL Club auditorium.

Oberon Council is pleased that the members from the Ataturk Cultural Group in Auburn will be joining the commemorations again this year. 

There will be Dawn Service on Tuesday 25 April 2017 in the grounds of the St Thomas Anglican Church, Beaconsfield Road at O’Connell, which will commence at 5.45am. Community members are asked to arrive 5 minutes before the ceremony, to bring a small torch or candle and to remain silent on arrival. 

There will be a Commemoration ceremony in Burraga on Sunday 23 April which will commence at 10.00am.
