Oberon Council Oil Recycling Facility

Oberon Council now has an Oil Recycling Facility available at the Oberon Garbage Depot.

This is a free service to the community, to encourage recycling and most importantly to help our environment.

Anyone can take their used engine oil in a drum or tin, to the Garbage Depot during the opening hours and have their oil recycled.

No cooking oils, fats, brake fluid, coolants, fuels, solvents, or paints are allowed, with oil from diesel and petrol engines being catered for.

This project was funded through a Transitional Assistance Grant by the Product Stewardship for Oil Programme of the Department of the Environment and Water Resources.
