Oberon Council Current Works Update - 11 February 2016

Final touches to Carlwood Road (East from Bolton Road) have been completed. The Carlwood Road works have been funded under Councils Roads to Recovery Program at a total cost of $400,000.

This week Council staff will commence constructions of road pavements on Beaconsfield Road, south from Sewells Creek Road.

Also on Edith Road (East from the Fish River Creek) the construction of the road pavements is continuing. Council staff will be clearing the rocks from the embankments this week, which is necessary to achieve the required road width.

The replacement of the water main in Strathroy Avenue has commenced this week. This work is expected to be completed within 4 to 6 weeks, subject to weather.

Continued upgrades to the toilet block at Cook Park have recently seen the installation of sky lights and additional ventilation. Further works and repairs are proposed in the coming weeks to the facility.

Maintenance grading will be carried out on the following roads in coming weeks - Bosworth Falls Road, Bloom Hill Road, Burkes Road, Ryans Road, Purdons Lane and Carlwood Road.
