There are a number of scheduled roadworks proposed over the next few weeks in the Oberon LGA.
The current asphalt works on the top section of the Oberon Mount O’Connell Road, will be completed on Friday 9 February 2018. Further spray seal bitumen re-sealing of the bottom section of the Oberon Mount will take place from Monday 12 and again on Tuesday 13 February 2018.
In addition, further bitumen re-sealing works of various sections of the O’Connell Road totalling 6.9km will also commence from Monday 12 February 2018. This various areas of work start from Carrington Avenue in Oberon and will finish on the northern side of the O’Connell Village.
Further bitumen resealing work will be undertaken on 3km of the Duckmaloi Road, split over two sections. The first section will begin from the Duckmaloi Road and Albion Street intersection and end at the Fish River Bridge. The second section will be from Deep Creek Bridge for approximately 1km heading east. These works will commence from Wednesday 14 February 2018.
Line marking of all new bitumen reseals in the Oberon LGA will commence on Thursday 22 February 2018 and take up to 2 days to complete, weather pending.
These works have been confirmed at the time of this media release and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances at which time motorists and the community will be notified.
Delays for motorists may be experienced during the above listed dates, working hours 7.00am to 5.00pm. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and obey the sign posted works zone speed limits.
