Works continue on Campbells River Road. The works consisted of ripping the existing sealed surface, resheeting with gravel to strengthen and improve the pavement and stabilising to a depth of 250mm using lime. This work will continue over the planned 9kms of roadway identified as requiring pavement improvement. Currently 1.7kms of work has been completed with sealing programmed for this week dependent on weather conditions. Staff are currently working on the second section repeating the process with the third section receiving preliminary work. Approximately half the length of Campbells River Road has received shoulder clearing and table drain improvement works. With the weather conditions holding, it is programmed to commence resealing work on those sections identified as adequate. Council is required to complete the project by the end of June 2022.
