Oberon Health Service

Oberon Health Service is a branch of the Greater Western Area Health (NSW Ministry Of Health).  

The Oberon Hospital is a multipurpose facility catering for both acute and aged-care patients.

There are eight acute beds and twelve high-care beds located at the hospital plus eleven low0care and one respite bed located at Hathaway Cottages.

The Oberon Health Service covers the towns of Oberon, Black Springs, Burraga, Rockley, Shooters Hill, Porters Retreat, O'Connell and Hampton.

They provide the following services:

Emergency Services are available 24 hours per day.
Child and family health
District nursing services - Weekdays 8.30 to 5.00, and Weekends 8.30 to 3.00.
Dietary advice, Mental health and Women's health
Podiatry, Physiotheraphy, Speech Pathology and Counselling
Aged care services, Meals on Wheels and Immunisation

Child and Family Health - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Community Nursing - Monday to Friday 8.30 to 4.30

The Oberon Hospital Auxiliary works to support the hospital and its patients, particularly the elderly.

The Auxiliary meets every third Friday of the month. New members are welcome. Phone 6336 7200 for more information.
