Oberon Lake

As at publication on Thursday, 28 August 2008, the Oberon Dam level is now less than 20% capacity.  It is currently 15.56% and falling.  This means that Level 4 Water Restrictions are in place for the Oberon local government area.

The level 4 water restrictions are:

  • Sprinklers and fixed hoses are banned
  • Micro sprays for 15 minutes
  • Hand held hoses for 1/2 hour every second day, outside the hours of 8am and 4pm, on odd or even days matching the house numbering system

Recycled water, bore water and water used for testing fire systems, fire fighting and related activities are excluded from restrictions.

Level 5 restrictions will not be introduced until dam levels fall below 15%.
