Oberon libraryOberon Council's Public Library is located on the corner of Dart and Fleming Streets one block from the main street. It is open from 10.00am until 6.00pm Tuesdays to Fridays and from 10.00am until 2.00pm on Saturday's . The library collection includes an extensive Adult Fiction section, Non-fiction and reference materials, talking books on CD and MP3 format, Fiction and Non-fiction DVD's and video's. Preschoolers and young children will be delighted by our Children's area with picture books galore! As well as lego, puppets, games, and gi-normous beanbags. Storytime is held every first and third Thursday (and every Thursday during school holidays) from 11.00am. Primary-aged children and young adults are especially catered for in the library with their own reading room which incorporates a playstation, comfortable reading chairs, study desk and age-specific reading materials. Friends of the Library Friends of the Library(FOLA) is a national voice for the 12 million users of Australia's public libraries, and in particular for the users of public libraries which have now established Friends of Libraries groups.
