The Common
The Common Park is ideally situated in a central location between The National Parks & Wildlife Office and The Oberon Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Ross Street and Edith Road. The park features a rotunda overlooking a water feature, which is home to a large number of bird species including water fowl. There are two free BBQ facilities, with tables and shelter as well as a children's playground and walking and cycling trails. The Common is an ideal location for family activities.
Council is currently expanding the existing facilities at The Common to include a series of water features and wetlands. Additional toilet and parking facilities, as well as walking and cycling trails will also be constructed as part of the expansion. Initial construction work is expected to be completed by December 2008.
