There are a number of privately managed cemeteries in the Oberon Council Area. An interment list for both public and private cemeteries in the Oberon Local Government Area. Click here to view the interment lists

Hazelgrove Catholic Cemetery
Located on private property on the Hazelgrove Road, this cemetery covers an area of 8.5 ha and has approximately 161 burial sites. It is looked after by local people who have family in the cemetery. This cemetery has an outstanding bush setting and is characterised by native plants. It has a wide variety of finely crafted stone and ironwork spanning 150 years since before civil registration.

Original Methodist Church
Duckmaloi Road, Oberon.
Managed by the Uniting Church

Mutton Falls Cemetery
Corner Mutton Falls Road and Lowes Mount Road, Mutton Falls.
This small rural graveyard lies on a grass knoll adjacent to a small church. The high quality of the mid-Victorian monuments, their design, inscriptions and furnishing is evidence of a comfortable, if not wealthy, pastoral community in the nineteenth century. This cemetery was used from the 1860s to the 1980s and has approximately 202 burial sites.

O'Connell Private Cemetery
Responsible Authority: Anglican Diocese of Bathurst.
The Anglican Cemetery is part of St Thomas' Church precinct which includes a Rectory, Church, Hall and Tennis Court. Headstones record burials from 1835 to 1964. There are approximately 86 burial sites. The cemetery has an attractive setting and is notable for containing a wide range of nineteenth century headstones, among which are two large stone altar monuments. The cemetery is approximately 250m off Beaconsfield Road, 500m from O'Connell Road and is approached from a driveway between Church and Hall.

Catholic Church Cemetery, O'Connell
O'Connell Road
A small churchyard is located behind the stone Catholic Church of St Francis on the eastern side of O'Connell Road at O'Connell. The church is now a private residence and access to the cemetery is gained through the church grounds. The monuments are an outstanding collection of late nineteenth century rural craftsmanship. This cemetery is unusual because it spans a limited time range, from 1868 until 1900. There are approximately 72 burial sites.

Brisbane Valley Catholic Cemetery
Foley's Creek Road, Oberon
The Brisbane Valley Catholic Cemetery is a small denominational cemetery enclosed by pastoral valley. It is situated on private property with at least 19 known burial sites. The cemetery exhibits a range of monuments from the nineteenth and twentieth century, some with carved motifs of angels and seraphs. Some of the earliest European pioneers of Brisbane Valley are buried in this cemetery. The cemetery was used from 1857 to 1950.

White Spring Cemetery Black Springs
This cemetery is situated on private property approximately 3km west of Black Springs along Rockley Road, about half a kilometre south off the road. The cemetery was in use between 1858 and 1911. Burial records at Bathurst, Oberon and Lithgow Courthouses indicate that at least 47 people were buried in the cemetery during this time. Eight monuments remain at the site.
