Beekeeping in Urban Areas - Published: 20 Mar 2006
An inquiry into urban beekeeping was initiated by the Premier's Department following the death of a Stanmore resident in March 2000 from multiple bee stings. The inquiry made several recommendations aimed at promoting responsible management of beehives to minimise potential risks to human safety.
